Legal status and training of psychotherapists in Europe
European Journal of Psychotherapy, Counselling & Health, 08/06/09
Ginger S – The European Association for Psychotherapy has established a common set of training standards that could be adopted throughout Europe in the future. These concern the theoretical, clinical and ethical training of therapists, irrespective of their professional background or the kind of psychotherapy they practice. Common standards are likely to assist efforts to align the provision of psychotherapy with demand. Despite growing support for this project, it is a considerable way from political acceptance.
