Parissis JT et al. – Diabetics with acute heart failure (AHF) have higher in–hospital mortality than non–diabetics despite their intensive treatment regimens (regarding care for HF and ACS), possibly due to underlying ischemic heart disease and the presence of multiple comorbidities.
