Contribution of 3D anterior segment reconstruction by rotative UBM to the sizing of phakic IOL
Acta Ophthalmologica, 08/21/2012
Maindron C et al. – This rotative probe has allowed the first 3D reconstruction of the ocular anterior segment. This initial approach reports high anatomical variations and non uniformity of intraocular clearances, explaining potentially some unexpected IOL positioning. These goal is to have an accurate visualization of relationship between phakic IOLs and intraocular surrounding structures. Perspectives could be the evaluation of the impact of accommodation on intraocular volumes in addition to preoperative simulations in 3 dimensions.
