Thoracoscopic Removal of a Bulky Cystic Mediastinal Mature Teratoma in a 4-Year-Old Child: Report of One Case and Few Surgical Tricks

Codrich D et al. – The purpose of this article is to report about the feasibility of thoracoscopic removal of one large cystic mediastinal teratoma in a 4–year–old child. In children the mediastinum is the fourth most common site for teratomas, after the ovary, sacrococcygeal region and testis and the great majority of teratomas is mature benign neoplasm.
