The association between vitamin D levels and recurrent group A streptococcal tonsillopharyngitis in adults
International Journal of Infectious Diseases, 07/31/2012
Nseir W et al. – Multiple regression analysis showed that a serum 25(OH) vitamin D level <20 ng/ml was associated with recurrent GAS tonsillopharyngitis (odds ratio 1.62, 95% confidence interval 1.51–1.76; p < 0.001). The findings indicate a link between vitamin D deficiency and the recurrence of GAS tonsillopharyngitis.
