Pantanelli SM et al. – Penetrating keratoplasty (PK) eyes had better logMAR visual acuity (VA) than decemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK) eyes with lower–order aberration correction, whereas deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty eyes performed intermediate between the two. When full–correction was applied, the same trend persisted. The findings suggest that factors other than aberration contribute to decrements in VA with DSAEK compared to PK.
