Dorlo TPC et al. – This case demonstrates that despite existing international regulations for quality assurance of medicines, poor–quality drugs can be distributed through a nationwide treatment programme in a resource–poor country and reach patients suffering from a fatal neglected tropical disease whose survival depends on good–quality drugs.
