Devaney KO et al. – The histopathologic differential diagnosis includes infectious processes, other fibro–inflammatory lesions, lymphoma, the inflammatory variant of malignant fibrous histiocytoma, and sarcomatoid (spindle cell) carcinoma. Complete surgical excision is the treatment of choice.
