The experience of a well–trained cytopathologist should distinguish the relevant FNA features in terms of smear background, architecture, and cell morphology. The most dangerous mistake in FNA diagnosis of Pilomatrixoma (PMX) regards a diagnosis of primary malignant or metastatic cutaneous lesions.
