Simonetti A et al. – Similarly, antibiotic administration ≤8h was not associated with decreased 30–day mortality in CAP and healthcare–associated pneumonia (HCAP) patients. In conclusion, antibiotic administration within 4 or 8 h of arrival at the ED did not improve 30–day survival in hospitalized adults for CAP or HCAP.
