Hao C et al. – The function of glucuronide conjugation in LDLT patients was decreased compared with that in DDLT patients. Higher free MPA AUC0–12h and a significantly higher fraction of free MPA in LDLT patients suggested that a lower oral dose of MMF may be administered for patients who underwent LDLT.

Exclusive Author Commentary
Chen Hao, 10/30/09

This is a primary study. These results could help us understanding the characteristics of MPA pharmacokinetics in LDLT patients. I think that clinical evaluation between standard dosage and low dosage be investigated prospectively in LDLT patients in future research.
