Interventions such as assessing individual patient risk of VTE, providing VTE prophylaxis and/or prompt treatment, and adopting VTE guidelines are essential aspects of cancer–related care. Aggressive VTE management and strategies are critical to improving survival in patients with cancer and VTE.
