Gebara SN et al. – Cancer patients receiving bisphosphonates are at risk for developing ONJ. Clinicians should evaluate patients’ oral integrity and existing risk factors before initiating bisphosphonate therapy. Once treatment is started, patients should be closely monitored for signs and symptoms of ONJ.
