Kahaleh A et al. – In Pennsylvania, pharmacy students are unable to counsel patients on medications without the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Pharmacy students in their final year have more training than other health care professionals on medications, and this study may be an indicator that pharmacy students, an untapped resource, can provide effective patient discharge counseling in a hospital setting.
