Bristol–Myers Squibb Company and AstraZeneca announced that ONGLYZA, a dipeptidyl peptidase–4 inhibitor, approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on July 2009, is now available, by prescription, in pharmacies across the United States. Bristol–Myers Squibb and AstraZeneca began shipping ONGLYZA to wholesalers the next business day following the FDA approval.
