Bevacizumab now approved for recurrent glioblastoma

Yee GC - FDA granted accelerated approval of bevacizumab, as a single agent, for the treatment of glioblastoma that has progressed following prior therapy. Approval was based on results from two Phase II studies showing that treatment with bevacizumab monotherapy resulted in an objective tumor response in approximately 25% of patients and had a median duration of response of approximately 4 months.
