Daniels S et al. - Clinically meaningful and statistically significant improvements were observed with tapentadol IR 50mg and 75mg compared with placebo for the relief of moderate-to-severe acute pain after orthopedic surgery. Tapentadol IR 50mg and 75mg were non-inferior to oxycodone HCl IR 10mg for the treatment of acute pain based on the primary efficacy endpoint of SPID48 and the pre-specified margin of 48 points.
