Sartorius Stedim Biotech, a leading international supplier for the pharma and biotech industries, has launched the BioWelder Total Containment (TC). BioWelder featuring innovative technology permits sterile connection of liquid–filled thermoplastic tubing that has an outer diameter (OD) of up to 1 inch and that is used on disposable bags or bag assemblies in all biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes. The sterile welding process is fully automated and can be performed in non– classified or classified environments while maintaining product sterility.
