Pray WS et al. – For years, patients with urinary tract infections (UTIs) have asked pharmacists what they can take without seeing a physician. Several products promise relief of UTI symptoms and/or claim to have an antibacterial effect that inhibits progression of the infection, but they are not proven safe and effective for any nonprescription use at present.
