As I put final touches on my weekend plans, I wanted to flag Saturday for folks – it’s the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) National Take Back Day. Scope out your medicine cabinets and if you have unwanted or expired prescription medicines, consider swinging by a drop off location near you from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It’s free and anonymous. And it’s a small action that can be an immense help in the combat against prescription drug abuse. Just consider that most abusers are finding their stashes from family and friends.
