Forest Laboratories, Inc. announced that it received a subpoena from the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts dated April 20, 2011. The subpoena requests documents relating to Benicar, Benicar HCT (collectively "Benicar") and Azor, prescription medications approved for the treatment of hypertension. Forest co–marketed Benicar from 2002 to 2008 together with their originator Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. pursuant to co–promotion agreements. The Company intends to cooperate in responding to the subpoena.
