Vásquez–Vivar J et al. – Early developmental BH4 deficiency plays a critical role in hypoxic–ischemic brain injury. Increasing brain BH4 via maternal supplementation may be an effective strategy in preventing motor deficits from antenatal hypoxia–ischemia.
