In recent years, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices has recommended three newly licensed vaccines: meningococcal conjugate vaccine; tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis vaccine; and quadrivalent human papillomavirus vaccine. ACIP also recommends that adolescents receive recommended vaccinations that were missed during childhood: measles, mumps, rubella vaccine; hepatitis B vaccine; and varicella vaccine.
