Trakadis Y et al. – There were no features of fetopathy associated with sartans including telmisartan, such as a history of oligohydraminios and renal abnormalities. Given the increasing prevalence of obesity and its related complications in young women of childbearing age, more safety data for prenatal exposure to statins and sartans are urgently needed.
