This is the first study to specifically look at babies presenting with pyloric stenosis during the first two weeks of life. This group of babies are often misdiagnosed due to the assumption that pyloric stenosis doesn not present this early. The study found that babies with early pyloric stenosis have an increased prevalence of positive family history and breast milk feeding. It establishes new guidelines for diagnostic imaging in these babies.
