Foreign body in the pediatric airway
ENT Journal, 09/01/09
Gelfand Y et al. – Any child with a prolonged history of nonspecific pulmonary complaints that are unrelieved by treatment should be examined for foreign–body aspiration. A 2–year–old girl was brought to the hospital with a 2–week history of cough and increasingly labored breathing. Physical examination revealed decreased breath sounds and a barely audible expiratory wheezing over the right lung field.
