Anthracopoulos MB et al. - There is a continuous increase in the prevalence of allergic manifestations among preadolescent children in Patras, Greece during the period 1991-2003. In this population, boys have contributed to this increase more than girls and the increase of atopy is, at least partially, responsible for the increase of asthma.
