Retinal nerve fibre layer thickness in full-term children assessed with Heidelberg retinal tomography and optical coherence tomography: normal values and interocular asymmetry
Acta Ophthalmologica, 11/06/09
Larsson E et al. – Both OCT and HRT can be used in children aged 5–16 years, but OCT provides less variability in determinations of RNFL thickness, both in repeated examinations of the same eye and in comparisons between the two eyes. The present study provides values for normal RNFL thickness in healthy children which can be used to make comparisons with values in children with optic nerve diseases.
