Hammad FT et al. – The IPSS–Arb was shown to be a reliable and valid instrument for patients with BPH. We recommend using it for patient assessment and follow–up, and as a research tool in Arabic–speaking patients both in the Middle East and worldwide. In addition, this study provided another proof of the wide suitability of the IPSS among various nations worldwide.

Fayez T. Hammad, 11/14/09

This article is the first in a peer-reviewed indexed journal to provide evidence that the Arabic version of IPSS is a reliable and valid instrument which could be used in the diagnosis and follow-up of Arabic-speaking patients with prostate symptoms both in the Middle East and worldwide. In addition, it can also be used a research tool in studies in the Middle East.
