Bahl A et al. – A subset of patients with recurrent brain metastasis can benefit from reirradiation. These include solitary brain metastases with no extra cranial disease. Patients with a KPS >70, age <65 years, who have shown good response to the first course of radiotherapy are those with the best prognosis in such situations. The current body of evidence supports re–irradiation in cases of progressive brain metastases in the subgroup of patients mentioned above.
