Internet-Based Self-management Plus Education Compared With Usual Care in Asthma
Annals of Internal Medicine, 07/21/09
van der Meer V et al. – Internet–based self–management improves asthma–related quality of life, asthma control, and lung function and increases the number of symptom–free days but did not reduce exacerbations, and improvement in asthma–related quality of life was slightly less than clinically significant. The challenge is implementing Internet–based self–management on a wider scale within routine asthma care.
