Wang S-M et al. - One week of continuous auricular acupuncture decreases the pain and disability experienced by women with pregnancy-related low back and posterior pelvic pain.

Exclusive Author Commentary
Shu-Ming Wang, 07/02/09

I wish the study period can be longer thus I can achieve what I would be hoping to see i.e. decrease the incidence and severity of postpartum pain. Auricular acupuncture is an interesting intervention and the mechanism is not fully understood yet. Based on my past 8 years experience of utilizing it for anxiety and now pregnant related low back pain, this intervention is well tolerated and well received with minimum side effect.
