Nox4 Mediates Hypoxia-Stimulated Myofibroblast Differentiation in Nasal Polyp-Derived Fibroblasts
International Archives of Allergy and Immunology, 07/27/2012
Moon YM et al. – Hypoxia induces myofibroblast differentiation of nasal polyp–derived fibroblasts (NPDF) through a signaling pathway involving NADPH oxidases (Nox)4–dependent reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and transforming growth factor–β1 (TGF–β1). Therapies targeting Nox4 may be effective against remodeling of nasal polyps.
