- Low Vitamin D levels are not associated with increased frequency of exacerbations or susceptibility to human rhinovirus (HRV) among individuals with COPD
- Middle-aged women with migraine or non-migraine headache are at increased risk of incident depression.
Highlights in Otolaryngology
Nefopam + paracetamol effective post-operative analgesia
As published in Minerva Medica, the effective post-operative analgesic doses of nefopan, paracetamol, and combined nefopam + paracetamol were determined. The study involved 90 adults who underwent tonsillectomies. The effective doses of nefopam, paracetamol, and combined nefopam + paracetamol were 21.7 mg, 628 mg, and 8.9 mg + 265 mg (synergistic), respectively.
