Fay LY et al. - The study aims to evaluate the dynamic stabilization system in degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis. There is significant clinical improvement after laminectomy and dynamic stabilization with Dynesys for lumbar spinal stenosis. While there was restriction (<3°) in segmental ROM, Dynesys provides similar radiographic stability and clinical effects regardless of pre-operative spondylolisthesis.

Decompression and single-level fusion and decompression and multilevel fusion provide similar outcomes in patients with multilevel lumbar stenosis and single-level DS.

Bae HW et al. - This study presents US nationwide trends in the surgical management of patients with lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) with and without coexisting spondylolisthesis and scoliosis from 2004 to 2009. This study demonstrates that the rate of simple fusion surgery has increased for treatment of LSS compared with decompression only.
