Orchard JW – Statistical analysis of professional football (soccer) is leading to the conclusion that the team medical staff may be substantially undervalued in the market. Statistically, a player's value is a product of his 'skill' and 'durability' (percentage of games he is available to play). The team medical staff is probably more relevant to the second factor than is realised.
