Johnson JW et al. – Midcarpal instability refers to dysfunction of the midcarpal joint as well as the radiocarpal joint. Dysfunction often leads to pain and mechanical symptoms, leading the patient to seek treatment. This complex group of disorders can be simplified by classification into four subtypes. A review of the characteristics of each is included as well as methods for diagnosis and treatment.
