Unipolar Versus Bipolar Hemiarthroplasty for Femoral Neck Fractures: Is There a Difference
Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, 06/25/09
Bhattacharyya T et al. - Arthroplasty has been shown to reduce the rate of reoperation after femoral neck fracture. A number of studies have compared the outcomes of unipolar and bipolar arthroplasty. Bipolar arthroplasty has a higher initial cost. However, the long-term results of acetabular wear and need for revision are unknown.
