Shen HI et al. - Combined use of arthroscopy and antituberculosis medication appears to be advantageous for the management of early-stage synovial tuberculosis of the knee joint. Arthroscopic removal of the pannus allows better nutrition of the cartilage and thus greatly improves the joint function.
