Liu RH et al. - Glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIOP) is a serious complication resulting from long-term steroid treatment. Human parathyroid hormone has emerged as a promising agent for the treatment of severe GIOP when used alone or in combination with a bisphosphonate.
