Dorsomedial exostosis at the distal phalanx of hallux a cause of pain - A case report
Koka AH et al. - Pain at the medial aspect of great toe is often due to ingrowing toe nail, subungual or periungual pyogenic granuloma. Exostosis at the dorsomedial aspect of the distal phalanx can present with such symptoms and should be kept in the differential diagnosis. Good quality radiographs should be sought and exostosis looked for.
