Over the past decade, new research into the field of young adult hip disorders has provided significant advances in patient care. This newfound knowledge is based on a deeper understanding of the anatomy of the hip, its subtle variations and nuances to more accurately diagnose young adults with hip pain as having prearthritic hip symptoms, define the abnormality and potentially correct it. Although readily available, this information has not yet been widely disseminated to the Orthopaedic community and is only now becoming a part of residency training. |
