Choudhry N et al. – Morning glory disk anomaly is generally a unilateral, sporadic congenital abnormality of the optic disk. These eyes are at risk of developing retinal detachment requiring surgical repair. The etiology of retinal detachment is incompletely understood in this condition and some reports have attributed it to a retinal break. The authors report an unusual case of morning glory disk anomaly with total nonrhegmatogenous exudative retinal detachment that displayed remarkable subsequent spontaneous resolution.
