Endothelial keratoplasty has evolved dramatically in recent years, and it continues to do so. Each new iteration promises less trauma for the diseased eye and graft tissue, along with better visual outcomes; yet each advance is also sufficiently complex that it requires years of refinement before achieving widespread use.
