Evaluation of Injection Frequency and Visual Acuity Outcomes for Ranibizumab Monotherapy in Exudative Age-related Macular Degeneration
Ophthalmology, 07/31/09
Dadgostar H et al. – In a population receiving as–needed injections of ranibizumab for exudative AMD, visual improvement was related to the frequency of injections received but not to the resolution of fluid by OCT. Treatment with ranibizumab on a strictly as–needed basis may result in undertreatment and significantly less visual gain.
