Torre ADL et al. - The results of this study provide the first report of clinical patterns for uveitis in Colombia. This study will enhance awareness of uveitis, and data should assist in the development of public health policies in this population for the improvement of patient outcomes.

Exclusive Author Commentary
Dr Alejandra de la Torre, 07/14/09

Infectious diseases were the most frequent causes of uveitis in Colombia. Parasitic infections play an important role. Toxoplasmosis was the most frequent cause of intraocular inflammation. Dear Editor News Letter MD Linx, I am the fist author of the paper Clinical patterns of uveitis in two ophthalmology centres in Bogota, Colombia , that appears in July issue of Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology. My second name is not "Torre"... It is "de-la-Torre", so the reference should be "de-la-Torre A" et al. Thank you for your attention, Alejandra de la Torre, MD
