McDonald JE et al. - Acrylic lenses have certainly grown in popularity. The SA60 IOL is a commonly used lens. When a hiccup in surgery occurs and bag placement becomes the option of choice, many surgeons mistakenly reach for the originally planned IOL and create a grave error. The SA60 is not intended and should never be placed in the sulcus.
