The data from this study show the waveform patterns of the ophthalmic artery blood flow are different according to the degree of glaucomatous damage, with narrower diastolic waveform meaning a more advanced disease. This new approach to Color Doppler Imaging can provide much more information that what we are taking so far. Altogether, these variables may help improve our understanding the complex relation between vascular supply and glaucoma.
