Zang RY et al. – This prognostic model may provide evidence to predict survival benefit from secondary cytoreduction in patients with recurrent ovarian cancer.
RY Zang (09/02/2011) comments:
It is the first pooled analysis of secondary cytoreduction for relapsed platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer. We quantified the prognostic factors and established a model of survival, which will guide personalized patient selection for a secondary surgical effort or salvage chemotherapy. Further ongoing randomized trials will validate the prognostic factors and the risk model.
