VEGFR-1 is a prognostic marker for HCC

As reported in the Journal of Pathology, the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR)-1 is elevated in invasive hepatocellular cancer (HCC) specimens. RAB25 is a prognostic marker for ovarian cancer

As reported in the International Journal of Cancer Research and Treatment, the pre-operative level of RAB25 is a predictor of disease-free survival (HR=18.2) and overall survival (HR=33.6) in patients with ovarian cancer. The study involved 36 and 16 women with ovarian cancer and benign tumors, respectively. The pre-operative cell-free DNA of genes (B2M, RAB25, CLDN4, and ABCF2) were measured and RAB25 was shown to be an independent prognostic factor.
